At “Be Well Within Counseling and Coaching” I use a holistic and open counseling approach to help in the therapeutic process. This means that I typically use a variety of methods to customize the right path for you.
Once the appointment is scheduled, you will receive a client information packet, consent forms, and notice of my privacy policies via email to fill out on the web portal. This allows me to have an insight into your current challenges and provides you the promise of confidentiality and privacy. You will then bring these documents to the initial appointment.
At our first appointment, time will be spent listening to you and your concerns. Whether you choose to share everything on your own or prefer to be asked questions, it is completely up to you. We take it step by step, allowing you to share as much or as little as you’d like.
From here, we’ll begin a journey of healing and achievement. Sometimes, there is homework assigned that allows for insight and growth outside of our sessions. At other times, there may be gentle guidance and recommendations for moving forward. It is a course that you control and we are here to help along the way.
Following are some philosophies and commitments on our approach that I find helpful to share:
We’ll Work Together – You are the catalyst for your therapy process and the direction that we go, so it’s crucial that we work together to discover your best path. Please feel free to share your feelings at all times during the process, your comfort level, and your goals.
Honor Your “Self” - You have our commitment that we will work as diligently as possible to help you in an open and honest way. You are a significant person in this world and it’s important to hold yourself accountable to do the same.
Be in the “Now” – There is much “noise” constantly in our daily lives – whether that is work responsibilities, family commitments, personal stressors, etc. However, during our sessions, we will be in the present moment as you are the most important person during that time. Remember that you matter and that you deserve your full attention during our sessions as well!
It’s Okay to Laugh – It may seem daunting to think about now, but sometimes laughter can provide just the right therapeutic touch when needed. I believe a positive attitude and maybe a little laughter can do wonders for our souls. I will always provide a positive environment for you to grow, discover, think, and hopefully
even smile.
