I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (#MH 12924) in the State of Florida. I currently have over 20 years of work in the social service field and corporate experience; my clients tend to appreciate my well-rounded experience and my customized approach.
I am the owner and a psychotherapist with “Be Well Within Counseling and Coaching” which is dedicated to helping others heal and grow through personal analysis and alternative solutions to modern medicine. I take on an eclectic approach with my counseling theories specializing in cognitive behavioral, humanistic and mindfulness therapies.
My experience in multiple disciplines ranges from work in hospitals, drug and alcohol abuse centers, HIV and cancer facilities, group homes, non-profits, and working with clients on an individual , family and group therapy settings.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
I am a member of the American Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International, and Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida.
I have a Case Management certification with UCF, Six Sigma/ Green Belt training with Lockheed Martin, and a Leadership Certification with Rollins College. The different trainings help me to be more rounded when it comes to working with clients that may have career and work related concerns.
It is the combination of my professional work, educational background, and personal experience that helps make me a sought after psychotherapist and coach. I really appreciate the vast variety of experiences that I have had – both professionally and personally. I believe that it’s not just one of these experiences that has made me into the compassionate and well-versed psychotherapist and coach that I am but the sum of them all.
